Lizards and Dragons

Lizards and Dragons.
Diamonds and hearts.
Selfish desires make us fall apart.
Selfless pursuits could paralyze our futures.
When up is down and everything isn't right,
fly toward your greatest fight.

Dead in the ground is too late,
talk about behind the times.
Forget about lost dates,
talk is cheap,
actions take priority,
and the future depends on you.

If only the mirror didn't shatter,
and if only you could survive.
Only if the soul didn't cry,
and only if you didn't die.
But you aren't dead,
YOU DID NOT DIE!

Wake up out of this fog,
or is it an endless smog?
Smell the coffee and roses,
or taste the rainless skies.
Life's too short my friend,
this isn't how it's supposed to end.

Open your eyes,
crush the pain,
stop this madness before you go insane.
Or is it too late?
Is the time too far gone,
and your mind too far lost?

For it's you who will stare,
stare into that broken mirror.
For the mirror is still there,
and it'll always be there.
Look into it.
Look into your broken mirror.

Stare down your busted frown,
smell the distorted nose,
taste your broken eyes,
and eat up the crushed soul,
Even a broken mirror won't lie.
